Morrison Education Center is a dental assistant training school in Williamsburg, VA that helps aspiring dental professionals build rewarding careers through real instruction, small class sizes, and real-world experience. The 11-week Dental Assisting course combines in-class lab practice with 88 hours of hands-on clinical internship in a real dental office, preparing students to work chairside with experienced dental professionals. MEET YOUR INSTRUCTORS
Owner & Founder
Founded Morrison Education Center in 2012 with his wife Alison and daughter-in-law Becky. Passionate about education and committed to helping students achieve meaningful success. Active in the local dental community and formerly served as Chairman of the TNCC Dental Hygiene Advisory Board. Enjoys fishing on the Chesapeake Bay, kayaking, and restoring British MG cars.
Owner & Founder, Director of Education
Serves as Chief Operations Officer for Morrison Dental Group. Played a key role in launching MEC in 2012 and continues to lead its growth. Has multiple degrees and background in teaching business courses as an adjunct professor. Enjoys gardening, cooking, and traveling with family.
Program Director
Began her dental career in 2006 as a Dental Assistant and now serves as Program Director for Morrison Education Center and Chief Marketing Officer at Morrison Dental Group. Co-founded MEC in 2012 and has worked to enhance the program through hands-on learning and student-focused improvements. Believes learning by doing is essential to building confidence. Enjoys visiting new places and relaxing at the beach with her husband and two sons.

Brings broad experience from multiple roles within the dental office, including hygiene assistant, insurance coordinator, and front desk administrator. Currently oversees billing and IT services for Morrison Dental Group. Began teaching at MEC in the summer of 2013.

We're located at 7151 Richmond Rd, Suite 306, Williamsburg, VA 23188 — right on Richmond Road, easily accessible from I-64 and Route 60. We also offer multiple internship location options across the Williamsburg area, so your clinical experience may be at a dental office close to your home.
This isn't observation time. You'll spend 88 hours in a real dental office working chairside with dentists and experienced assistants on real patients. You'll assist with actual procedures — including crown preparations, oral surgery support, X-rays, and routine patient care. No prior dental or medical experience is required. Many of our graduates came in as complete career changers.
